Dream Prophecy of a Coming War

1820s and 1830s, 1820s and 1830s, 1820s and 1830s, these apparent date numbers and words intruded upon my sleep one night in the late summer of 2015.  1820s and1830s repeatedly flashed visually before my conscious mind, breaking in upon a deep sleep.  My conscious mind woke up within this dream though I was still physically asleep.  I had the presence of mind in my sleep to ask, to pray if you will, “1820s and 1830s, what does it mean, what are you telling me?”  The message, 1820s and 1830s repeated again and again I asked to be told the meaning of the message.  I found myself briefly waiting in the midst of my sleep for an answer to this numeric message pressing in upon my mind.  A clear audible voice said to me, “A great war is coming.”  “Just as in the 1820s and 1830s those who would lead in the American civil war were being born, those who will lead in this coming war are being born now.”  That was the entire message.  I understood why God had presented this message to me in this way.  It is because I read a lot of Civil War history and I check wiki biographies of leading officers noting their birthdate and calculating their age during various battles.  The vast majority of officers bearing great responsibility were born in the 1820s or 1830s.  North and South, they were people of remarkable character, special people raised up by God for the purposes of their generation.  I believe God was revealing to me that a great war, a dreadful fulfillment of biblical prophecy will occur in 40 or more years.  I discussed this dream with a dear old friend of mine, a deeply spiritual Christian man and he suggested that the dream indicates our current responsibility to spiritually prepare this generation now being born for this coming ordeal just as the American civilization, such as it was in the early 19th century spiritually prepared men from both sides of the American Civil war for the leadership, biblical manhood and courageous self-sacrifice required for that war to run its course.

It may be the easiest and surest way to claim to be a prophet, by predicting a coming war.  That is not lost on me.  Wars will happen as long as mankind continues on this earth.  Nonetheless, as God is my witness, I tell you I had this encounter.  I believe it was God, imposing a message upon me in the middle of the night, presenting me with this message.  I do not possess the intellect, even subconsciously to fabricate this.  I believe my friend’s interpretation is valid, that God is telling us to cultivate and prepare our children spiritually and in all manner of biblical maturity for a difficult future.  I deliver this message via my blog in the hope that the intentions of God may be supported by this telling.

  1. Tony Rickard says:

If the estimates of leading scientists on the subject are accurate the rise in sea levels and shortages of food caused by global warming will bring the world to crisis in terms of shortages of food and living space at about the right time. It was clear in the history of Old Testament prophesy that the disaster that was predicted could be averted if people repented of their sins and corrected their behavior.

We are a short sighted culture. If it will not happen tomorrow we tend to not care. Thomas Paine, in his pamphlet, “Common Sense”, during the American Revolution sighted the farmer standing on his porch with his infant son in his arms and declaring, “I want peace for my time.” Implying that the child would be left to do the fighting in his time. His kind are not all dead yet.

We need to prepare the generation being born now to face the spiritual trials that will inevitably come. We all so owe it to our children and our grand-children to do all in our power to prevent or mitigate the trials to come. By our example of sacrifice for the world around us, in imitation of Jesus sacrifice for us, and our faith that it is only by the power of his precious Blood that we can possibly succeed, let us go forward to prepare this generation in the hope that what they face will be no greater a test than we have endured ourselves.
